![]() Pairing the decide to my phone was simple, as was creating an Entertainment Zone to group with my existing Play Bars, and the lights were syncing within about 5 minutes of the Sync Box switched on for the first time. Unlike other Hue products, the Sync Box is managed primarily through a standalone app (Hue Sync). Being wall mounted, I'd lose the light completely if I mounted them any further towards the centre of the TV (they are about 3" in at the moment).Īnyway, back to the Sync Box. I won't make this a Gradient review, but my only peeve there is that the lights don't quite reach all the way to the bottom of my TV - they stop about 4" up. For anyone wondering, the power cable for the Gradient is plenty long enough to reach from the bottom corner of a wall-mounted TV and down to a standard UK power socket. Installation and set up was a breeze, only made complicated because my TV is wall mounted and I wanted all the cables hidden in the wall - not Hue's problem. I then have a Sonos Beam soundbar connected to the TV via Arc - but the Sync Box has no involvement there, as it's not in the same "chain". I have a PS4 and Sky Q box (which, for arguments' sake, could be any cable box or streaming device) plugged into the Sync Box, with a single HDMI cable going from therr into my TV (LG CX65 OLED). This is only my personal experience, and I appreciate that others will have a completely different view.įirst of all, I have what I'd say is a fairly bog-standard setup.
